At these words, I turned my head to face him from the passenger seat of his car. I didn't know what he needed me to promise. I didn't know what would come next. But when someone made me promise them something, I knew that I had to. I felt that it was a duty of mine, and I was to obey it no matter what the cost, but sometimes the cost can seem like too much. Sometimes, the cost is too much.

"I need you to promise me that no matter how badly you want to cut, you will picture my face telling you to be happy."

Easy enough, I thought. What wasn't easy was what followed.

Fairly abstract with a sense of realism. I see the one on the right as a worrysome person. I really like the sense of detail with shading, along with the attention to detail on every part of the face. It might just be my poor eye, but I think the person on the right's left eye might be disproportionally scaled. Other than that, I really enjoy this piece. It shows a touch of humanity. The focus is really drawn on their hair; the one on the left has a very unique style to it, one I like personally. Overall a great piece.
